Official title: Dental Assistants and Therapists
Assists dentists in preventing, diagnosing and treating dental and oral disease and in preparing dental instruments, equipment and materials, or fits and repairs dentures (as a denture technician).
Main tasks
- Assist dentists during dental procedures
- Fit and repair dentures
- Prepare, clean and sterilise dental instruments and equipment after examinations or treatment
- Help dentists take X-ray images of the mouth and teeth
