Gives physical therapy to patients with limited mobility due to injury, illness or disability, following a doctor's diagnosis or written instructions.
Main tasks
- Give manual therapy such as massage and acupressure
- Massage and relax muscles, tendons and ligaments to help treatment
- Give traction, vibration and other mechanical therapy
- Guide patients and their families in continuing treatment at home
